Apple might start offering Apple Music, TV+ and more as a single subscription bundle
If you're tired of paying for a dozen different online services every month, some relief may be coming.
According to 9to5Mac, the iOS 13.5.5 code contains some evidence that Apple is working on a services bundle, which might include Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple News+ for one monthly price.
Details are scarce. The outlet says that files found in iOS 13.5.5. have references to "bundle offer" and "bundle subscription," which didn't exist in previous versions of the software.
The rumor that Apple may offer a service bundle has been around for about two years, and in Nov. 2019, Bloomberg says that Apple is planning to launch it as early as 2020.
There's a problem, though. In March this year, the Financial Timesreported that Apple's contracts for Apple Music do not include an agreement to bundle Apple Music with TV+. Of course, contracts can be amended, so let's hope that it happens sooner rather than later.
Subscription fatigue is a real thing, and with Disney+ and Apple TV+ joining the fray last year (to name just the biggest ones), many users are likely looking for some relief from their ballooning monthly bills. Being able to combine several Apple services into one reasonably-priced bill should help with that — at little, at least.
